Customize Job Titles

Employees are invited into the system with a job title. We will now adjust and add job titles, and change the job title of an employee

You’ll need Workspace Owner access to complete this guide.

Press Location settings > Job titles to adjust them. Click directly on the job title you want to edit or use the dot menu to quickly access Delete and Duplicate Within each title you can set a name, emoji and access level. You can also assign mandatory courses and documentation, but it may be easier to do this later through procedures.

Job Titles vs Key Roles

In Runwell you have job titles and key roles. Employees are invited in with a job title but can have a number of key roles on top. For example, we recommend having the job title “chef” and a key role called “kitchen manager”. We will come back to key roles, but we strongly advise you not to over‑complicate job titles.

Change the Job Title of an Employee

You can easily change an employee’s job title. Go to the employee overview and click the employee whose title you want to change.

Click View profile.

Go to Position and click Edit. Choose a title from the drop‑down list of job titles
